Connexions is a service for 13-19 year olds, living in England and wanting advice on how to get to where they want to be in life. It also provides support for young people (up to the age of 25 years old) who have learning and/or physical disabilities. Connexions Direct is the counselling service of Connexions and provides information and advice to young people.

If you are a young person aged 16-19 years old and in temporary accommodation the Housing Options Service provides an in-house Connexions worker who will help you with benefit queries, continuing your education, job, employment and training advice. The Connexions Officer also supports young people aged between 18-19 years old into the hostels system by direct referrals and referrals to homeless organisations. The FIS is run by Westminster City Council. They provide information and guidance on childcare, early education and other children's services within the City of Westminster.
You can obtain information on childcare and early years education on services that are registered by Ofsted (the official inspectors for schools). These include day nurseries, play facilities and childminders. They can advise you on the type of activities that don't need to be registered such as parent and toddler groups and drop-in sessions.

Youth passport is a great scheme for young people between the ages of 11-19 years old who live in Westminster and attend secondary school. It enables you to enjoy free swimming sessions, get reduced rates to use sports facilities throughout the borough and obtain 20% discount when you borrow DVDs, CDs or videos from Westminster libraries.
